University gets grant for Native American study BILLINGS -- The National Endowment for the Humanities has awarded a $25,000 grant to Montana State University-Billings to explore how Native Americans have used art, religion and story to survive and adapt over the last 500 years. Details about how those subjects will be studied are still being worked out, but probably will include several seminars or discussion groups during the 2001-2002 academic year, said St. John Robinson, project director. http://www.billingsgazette.com/index.php?section=local&display=content/local/university.inc |
